Qingyan Ancient Town

Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, is located in the southern suburb of Guiyang. It was built in the Ming Dynasty of Hongwu (1378) and was originally a military fortress. In the modern history, the town has great historical relics such as the Qingyan ruins, the Zhaozhuang Yuan mansion, the former residence of Mr. Ping Gang, and the Long March Operation Command. Chou En-lai’s father, Deng Yingchao’s mother, Li Kenong and other revolutionary predecessors with their families all lived in Qingyan. Qingyan Ancient Town was also one of the western migration schools of Zhejiang University during the Anti-Japanese War.
