On the Nanming River in the south of Guiyang is Jiaxiu Tower area, based on a huge stone in the river. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, but the building was destroyed, so it was rebuilt and renamed as “Laifeng Pavilion”. The side of the building is connected by the stone arch “Floating Jade Bridge”. There was a original small pavilion called "Hanbi Pavilion" on the bridge and has been demolished. Jiaxiu Tower is made of colourful glazed tiles, surrounded by charming green water and mountains. And it is living up to its reputation, can be called Jia Xiu.
